there's this little family sitting in front of me. i'm at mcdonalds now. a mother and 3 children. they dont look like the average well-to-do kinda family...mom always looks like she's miles awayy..and her two youngest kids are running all over the place. the eldest got screamed at just because she didnt know where the hp was. mom was occasionally scribbling in her little notebook. and while mom and the younger kids go off to the counter, the eldest was forced to stay put and look after mummy's bag. i call that the "curse of the eldest child". for some reason, the eldest one is always the one who has to look after stuff (i include younger siblings in the word "stuff"). mom had to dig into her kids pockets for money before she buys the food. mom just looks so troubled. i'm sure that at one point of time, mummy used to be a carefree young lady with bounce in her steps. it can happen to anyone really. now she's just burdened with worry.
sad how life could turn out that way. and she was having trouble controlling her kids. she just looks so worn out, she doesnt even care that her kids were screaming and fighting over an umbrella.
